A Term Life Associate, specializing in selling term life insurance policies, plays a vital role in the insurance industry by providing individuals and families with financial protection for a specified term. Term life insurance offers coverage for a set period, typically 10, 20, or 30 years. Here is a job description for a Term Life Associate:


Job Title: Term Life Associate


Job Summary: As a Term Life Associate, your primary responsibility is to sell term life insurance policies to clients. You will work for our third party agency, Ethos Life. Assisting individuals in understanding their life insurance needs, recommending appropriate term life coverage, and facilitating the application process.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Client Consultation:
    • Meet with prospective clients to assess their life insurance requirements.
    • Gather information about the client's financial situation, dependents, and long-term goals.
    • Educate clients about the features and benefits of term life insurance.


  1. Policy Recommendation:
    • Analyze client data to determine the appropriate coverage amount and term length.
    • Present customized term life insurance solutions to clients based on their needs.
    • Explain policy terms, premiums, riders, and other relevant details.


  1. Sales and Prospecting:
    • Generate leads and identify potential clients through various channels, including referrals, cold calling, and networking.
    • Conduct sales presentations and effectively communicate the value of term life insurance.
    • Close sales by addressing objections and concerns and assisting clients in completing the application process.


  1. Application Processing:
    • Assist clients in completing insurance applications accurately.
    • Facilitate medical exams and underwriting procedures, if necessary.
    • Ensure that all required documentation is submitted to the insurance company.


  1. Client Relationship Management:
    • Provide ongoing support to clients by addressing questions, policy changes, and claims.
    • Conduct policy reviews to assess whether clients' coverage needs have changed.


  1. Compliance and Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions, applications, and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


Qualifications:


  • Insurance License (Required).
  • Strong understanding of term life insurance products and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and establish trust.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.


Career Progression:

Term Life Associates may have opportunities to advance within the insurance industry, such as becoming a Senior Life Insurance Agent,, or specializing in other insurance products like permanent life insurance or annuities. Success in this role is often measured by meeting or exceeding sales quotas and providing excellent customer service to clients.
